Scripts and Executables

• Manage and execute shell scripts and programs in the file system.
• All executions run over the vt100 terminal, accepting user input and escape codes (colors, bel, cursor movement, etc.).
• Run them at boot-up and/or on network status change.
• Schedule them at a selected time (cron jobs).
• Show graphical dialogs from running processes.
• Create widgets on the desktop.
• Edit and create scripts, including creation from URLs.
• Insert code in your scripts using QR codes.
• Share execution output.
• Bookmark your scripts.
• Test SM_VERSION and/or SM_VERSIONCODE to know if SManager is running inside SManager.

With root privileges, you can also execute scripts and programs as a superuser.

File Manager

• Browse all phone's files and network files.
• Support for zip, tgz, tar, tbz, and yaffs2 (nandroid backups).
• Browse network (including http://) zip files without downloading them fully.
• Open multiple directories in different tabs (3 tabs for Ads version).
• Support for file linking (on supported filesystems).
• Support for multiselect from different directories (Ads version only supports 7 selections from different directories. No limit if selections are in the same directory).

Root Explorer (Rooted device needed)

• Automatically mount read-only partitions in read-write mode when needed.
• Root editor (Allows editing files with root privileges. Configure "Browse as root" in settings).
• Open and edit ALL files regardless of their permissions with a selected application. Use carefully (Configure "Browse as root" for this feature).

Console Screen

• Volume Up: Mapped to the Esc key.
• Volume Down: Mapped to the Enter key.
• DPad press: Mapped to the Control key (Press and then press another key. Simultaneous pressing is not required).

To enable "extra gestures" in the configuration screen, you can send Home/End, Del, Tab, Left/Right, PgUp/PgDown keys. This is very useful for executing shell and SSH connections.

If you get a lot of [[^ characters, it is because "extra gestures" are enabled and the script/program doesn't process them. Use the most right side of the screen to send a standard scroll event or disable "extra gestures".

SM Multiselect

Selects files automatically that are selected in third-party apps, like Gallery, inside SM Browser.

External Storage SD Notes

You can install SManager on an external SD card, but you must know:

• If you are using boot scripts or scheduled scripts, you will need SMExternalSD app.
• All events like network status change and scheduled scripts while external storage is shared or unmounted will not be processed, even if you have SMExternalSD installed.

Note: SManager does not launch executions until the external storage is mounted.

Note2: Some programs/daemons (like dropbear) may fail if stdin is closed. Try putting "exec 0>&1" to reopen stdin in background executions.

No Ads Version Features

• No ads.
• Execute scripts from widgets without opening the console.
• No limits on multiselect.
• No limits on opening multiple directories.
• Alias keys in SM Console.
• Hide/show SM Console/SM Browser bar with an up/down gesture at the top of the screen.
